        HOW TO USE DREAM COAT

        Step 1

        Wash hair with shampoo, follow with conditioner. Gently towel‑dry hair to remove surplus surface moisture.

        Step 2

        Divide hair into manageable sections. Spray each section thoroughly, covering outer surfaces as well as underneath layers to help achieve even product coverage.

            How to use COLOR WOW DREAM COAT®

            1. After shampooing and conditioning, apply COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® to damp, towel-dried hair. (If desired, a Color Wow Cocktail leave-in treatment - thickening, hydrating or strengthening - can be used before COLOR WOW DREAM COAT®).

            2. Divide hair in sections, and then spray each section thoroughly (on the surface as well as underneath) to completely saturate hair.

            This is very important - we recommend completely drenching your hair to get the most out of Dream Coat.

            3. Comb through to distribute product evenly.

            4. Blow dry, section by section. Use a brush to hold each section taut while directing dryer heat (set at medium to high temperature) down hair lengths until section is completely dry.

            Dream Coat is heat-activated, which means you’ll see the best results from usage if you blow-dry with tension.

            Dream Coat lasts through 3 to 4 shampoos, so you don’t need to use it every time you wash your hair.

            Dream Coat is a proprietary water-based formula that includes advanced, water soluble organic polymers that contain a small silicone portion. Unlike traditional silicones that can feel greasy or heavy, these modern silicones are designed to be non-oily, non-greasy, and weightless.

            If it's waterproof, how do I get it out of my hair?

            Shampoo removes the product. Effects last through 3 to 4 shampoos.

            Is COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® a heat protectant?

            Yes. Nearly all Color Wow treatment and styling products offer 2 or 3 kinds of heat protection. This product offers 2.

            Since Dream Coat already has heat protection built-in, you don’t need to use other heat protectant products (e.g. sprays) alongside it.

            Is COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® good for fine hair?

            Yes, if your fine hair has a frizzy or unruly texture you're trying to control.

            Is COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® safe for extensions?

            All Color Wow products are safe for extensions. But always consult your stylist on which products are best to use with your specific type of extensions.

            Can you use COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® on dry hair?

            No, COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® needs to be applied to wet or damp hair.

            Is COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® a leave-in conditioner?

            Dream Coat is an anti-frizz styling product, as opposed to a leave-in conditioner.

            If you’re looking for a leave-in conditioner, we recommend Money Mist, our luxe, light leave-in treatment for expensive-looking hair.

            Can you use COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® every wash?

            No, you don’t need to use Dream Coat every wash because the results last 3-4 washes.

            Can you use COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® on curly hair?

            We have three different Dream Coat products to choose from depending on your hair type and the specific style results you want to achieve. 

            If you have wavy to curly hair and want to enhance your curl pattern, we’d recommend using Dream Coat For Curly Hair instead of the original Dream Coat.

            If you have wavy to curly hair and want to go smooth and sleek, we recommend the original Dream Coat Supernatural Spray.

            If you have coily and/or dehydrated hair and want a smooth, sleek, frizz-proof style, we’d recommend using Extra Strength Dream Coat.

            How does COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® feel on the hair?

            Your hair feels ultra silky, totally natural (supernatural!)

            The ultra thin, humidity-resistant matrix that covers your hair is virtually imperceptible and doesn’t make your hair greasy or weigh it down.

            Does COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® contain formaldehyde?

            No. Dream Coat does not contain formaldehyde or any formaldehyde-releasing ingredients. In fact no Color Wow product contains formaldehyde.

            Is COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® safe/healthy for your hair?

            Yes it is safe for your hair. The polymer is actually a heat protectant and protects the surface of the hair from heat damage.

            COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® also contains Calendula extract which has light hydrating properties and Chamomile extract to protect hair color and enrich radiance.

            Can you use COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® with other products?

            For best results we recommend using COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® alone or with one of Color Wow’s Dream Cocktails. The Dream Cocktail would be applied first, followed by COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® (then no additional products!) before blow drying. 

            Can you use COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® without blow drying?

            This product is heat activated, so for best results, blow dry using a brush and tension. You will see some benefits if you air dry or rough dry and then straighten with a flat iron.

            Can you use COLOR WOW DREAM COAT® if you've had a keratin treatment in your hair?

            Absolutely. Keratin treatments work inside hair strands.  Dream Coat works only on the surface. It doesn't interfere with your Brazilian blowout.
